The style oozed Hollywood glamour and was more than perfect for the moment when all eyes were on the Erin Brockovich star as she collected her trophy. "It was a great moment when Julia won her Oscar in 2001. The hair kind of happened. It wasn't overly planned and we ended up with this gorgeous, timeless couture look," Serge told the UK edition of Glamour.

The celebrity hair expert also named his favourite style of all time. Normant said he was so impressed by French actress Catherine Deneuve's crowning glory in 1967 movie Belle De Jour, he put up the film's poster in his apartment. Very blonde and voluminous, the top section of her locks is swept-back to show off her gorgeous features. "I love Catherine Deneuve's look in Belle De Jour - in fact, the only picture hanging on my wall in my downtown NYC salon is an original poster from the movie," he revealed.

Julia Roberts, Alec Baldwin, Matt Bomer and Jim Parsons to Star in Ryan Murphy's Next Film

Ryan Murphy is putting together an all-star cast for his latest film project, the big-screen adaptation of the Tony Award-winning drama The Normal Heart, being produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B shingle. Julia Roberts and Alec Baldwin, plus White Collar   star   Matt Bomer and Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons, are joining Mark Ruffalo in the autobiographical drama, written by Larry Kramer, that details the rise of HIV/AIDS in New York’s gay community in the 1980s. Murphy, who hit mainstream success with Glee, is directing from a script by Kramer.

The play won the Tony for best revival last year, as well as best supporting actor and best supporting actress (for John Benjamin Hickey and Ellen Barkin, respectively). It also garnered nominations for best actor and best directing. It was originally staged Off-Broadway  in 1985 and has seen several revivals in London and Los Angeles.

Murphy optioned the rights to the play last August and had Ruffallo attached as Ned Weeks, who is one of the first to raise an alarm when what was then known as  “gay cancer" surfaces in New York. Roberts will play Emma Brookner, a wheel-chair bound doctor who is one of the only doctors in New York talking the new disease seriously. That role is the one that won Barkin her Tony.

Baldwin is playing Weeks’ brother, a lawyer having a hard time dealing with his sibling's sexuality. Bomer’s character is that of Felix Turner, a gay fashion journalist who becomes Week’s boyfriend and tragically contracts the disease. Bomer will be stepping into the shoes that won Hickey his Tony. Parsons, who acted in the Broadway version, will reprise his role, that of a Southererner who is a gay activist and part of a gay men’s health crisis group.

Murphy's last film was Eat, Pray, Love, which starred Roberts. With Glee and his FX series American Horror Story, he is one of the few writer/directors who regularly tackle gay themes to both critical and popular success.

CAA is putting together the financing and insiders say Participant Pictures is circling. Roberts (CAA, Hirsch Wallerstein) next stars in Relativity’s Snow White fairy tale Mirror Mirror while Baldwin (CAA, N2N Entertainment) next appears in New Line’s adaptation of the Broadway hit Rock of Ages. The next  feature for Bomer (CAA, Anonymous Content) will be the Steven Soberbergh movie on male exotic dancers Magic Mike, while Parsons (UTA, Principal Entertainment, Hansen Jacobson) had a scene-stealing cameo in The Muppets.

Julia Roberts and Lily Collins Face Off in Mirror Mirror Poster

Posted in : Gossips, Movies

(added a month ago!)

This poster is about as sugary sweet as we expected. Mirror Mirror, aka one of the two Snow White installments set to hit theaters in 2012 (this one obviously doesn't feature Kristen Stewart, got the poster treatment and it gives us some face time with stars Lily Collins and Julia Roberts.

Julia Roberts and Lily Collins Face Off in Mirror Mirror Poster

So before we break it down, we gotta know: From your first glance at the one sheet, will you be lining up for this one when it hits theaters?

We're still undecided. Tho, who are we kidding, we're sure we'll be there opening night, if just for shirtless Armie Hammer alone. Which is something we think could have helped this poster. Man candy never hurt anyone, did it?

But anyways, the poster stays in line with the comedy shtick the film showed off in its trailer, with smirking Lily looking cute as a button in her signature blue Snow White gown and tiara while holding one of those dreaded apples (just to really remind you this is a Snow White flick).

Here's our beef: We adore Julia Roberts. Like love, love, love the actress, but we're not loving what we've seen so far from her "evil" queen. While Charlize Theron seems downright dastardly in the Snow White and the Huntsman trailer, Jules came of mildly bitchy. And in the poster she looks just, well, mildly annoyed at best.

Whatever, moving on: We couldn't help but notice that in big bold letters the poster reminds you that the fairy tale flick comes out March 16, 2012—a few months before SWATH bows on June 1 (a battle the two films duked out earlier this year).

The Oscar-winning actress also felt bad for being so "awful" to her co-star Lily Collins, who plays Snow White. "I was terrible," said Roberts, who joked, "I think I might've slapped her once for no reason! Just because she's pretty!" Will Julia take her kids -- twins Hazel and Finn, 7, and Henry, 4 -- to see the film? "They're too little for it and I think it would be disturbing.""Mirror Mirror" casts its spell in theaters March 16, 2012.

'You're going to get a whole lot of love, but you'd better treat her right, or we're all coming after you.'The 44-year-old Notting Hill star tells the US magazine – which names Adele as one of its Entertainers of 2011 – that, like many fans, she feels “invested in” the singer’s life after hearing her hit album, 21. It better, because that guy will never find someone else like her!''
