Julia Roberts In Running At Beach

September 6, 2010 |13:37 | Gossips  By : Team X

Julia Roberts In Running At Beach: Last weekend, two things happened. I turned 40, and Julia Roberts was photographed in a bikini, looking, at 42, like the living embodiment of youthful perfection. That picture had a strange impact on me because, looking at it, I couldn't decide whether it was a marvellous encouragement that with enough hard work and cash, eternal youth is almost within our grasp; or, alternatively, a hideously depressing reminder that while 40 used to be the rose-trellised gateway leading to comfortable middle age, it's now a rallying cry to modern women to hit the gym and succeed like never before.

When I was growing up, forty-something women looked normal. They had a few wrinkles and usually carried a couple of extra pounds. They'd wear inoffensive, comfortable clothes and let their hair do whatever it wanted. They seemed perfectly comfortable in their own skins.

Julia Roberts: Frist Celebrity To Hinduism?Julia Roberts: Frist Celebrity To Hinduism? Oscar winner Julia Roberts (Pretty Woman) is not the first entertainment celebrity to hug Hinduism or its concepts-symbols-terminology. Golden Globe winner Marilyn Monroe (Some Like It Hot) once reportedly claimed that yoga (one of the six systems of orthodox Hindu philosophy) improved her legs.

Celebrities Greta Garbo, Marlon Brando, Cary Grant, Beatles, Gloria Swanson, Madonna, Mia Farrow, Shirley MacLaine, Britney Spears, John Coltrane, Yehudi Menuhin, George Harrison, Mary Tyler Moore, Donovan, Jennifer Jones, Leopold Stokowski, Sting, (the list goes on), sometime or the other reportedly had a crush on Hinduism or its concepts-symbols-terminology.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, welcomed entertainment celebrities to immerse in Hinduism but taking it seriously and not just using it as a fashion statement. “Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and a rich philosophical thought and it should not be taken lightly”, Zed stressed.

Julia Roberts In Hawaii Beach: Sexy BikiniJulia Roberts In Hawaii Beach: Sexy Bikini: At 42, she is still the world’s Pretty Woman. Recently photographed vacationing in Hawaii with her family the 5’9” beauty flaunts a body that surprisingly had already given birth to three kids.

Still a proponent of no cosmetic surgery, Julia Roberts insists on growing older naturally (“And maybe a little eye cream.”). Her au naturel look was proven with her unshaved underarms.

Records have it that this unshaven look she prefers was showed off first at the Notting Hill premiere in London at the end of the nineties.

Earlier this month Roberts also flaunted her toned legs in short-shorts at the NYC premiere of “Eat Pray Love’.

Roberts leads a healthy lifestyle and hadn’t ever been a Hollywood “size zero”.  She loves biscuits, gravy and grits.  She loves drinking Scorpino:  an Italian drink of vodka, crème, orange liqueur and Italian rice.  She also does Pilates, strength training and yoga.

Julia Roberts slurps spaghetti in Rome, pets a rogue elephant in India and rides a bicycle through a tropical forest in Bali in “Eat Pray Love,” the turgid film adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir about a divorcee’s global journey of self-discovery.

This Freudian travelogue is like a lushly illustrated self- help book. It’s stuffed with picture-postcard sights, sounds and suggested aromas   there’s enough eating and drinking for a Food Network special.

But they can’t mask the underlying sappiness and bumper-sticker simplicity. After divorcing her bourgeois husband (Billy Crudup) and having a rebound fling with.

A small-time actor (James Franco), writer Liz (Roberts) leaves New York for a yearlong sabbatical in Italy, India and Indonesia. She’s restless, miserable and ready to dramatically change her life.

She has, arguably, been the leading lady in Hollywood for the last 20 years. But even Julia Roberts gets nervous about her film projects, including her latest:

A big-screen adaptation of Elizabeth Gilbert's best-selling memoir, "Eat, Pray, Love." But it's a good thing.

"If I'm not feeling anxious and excited and nervous, then I haven't invested much in it and I shouldn't be there," Roberts says.

"So, really, I just want to put myself in a position where I am really feeling like I have to ramp up and accomplish my goals."

And Roberts wasn't the only one: Director Ryan Murphy confessed facing a bout of nerves before meeting his star.

Julia Roberts' hungry heart in Eat Pray Love

August 9, 2010 |12:51 | Gossips  By : Team X

Julia Roberts goes where no other A-list female star has ever gone on celluloid in her new film, “Eat Pray Love,” based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert. “Honestly, I think it’s the most controversial scene ever caught on film,” says director Ryan Murphy. “People will gasp. Jaws will drop open. It’s so shocking, I can’t even explain it.

”He’s talking about a scene where Roberts eats pasta. We’re not just talking about a few Weight Watchers-sanctioned bites or the good-for-you wheat stuff. Roberts downs bowls of freshly made white-flour linguini glistening with butter and garlic.

She’s dealing with a tough divorce and vacationing in Italy at the same time. Her cure is carbs — and pass the Alfredo sauce. “I can’t honestly remember how many bowls of pasta I had at one sitting,” Roberts says. “Six,” Murphy says without pause. “And to have a woman eat onscreen with such unabashed joy was …”

“Revolutionary,” Roberts concludes. Weighty matters Just as revolutionary is Roberts in person on a sunny morning in Napa Valley, Calif., where it’s obvious that none of that pasta remains on the hips of the 42-year-old mother of three. Looking fit and slim, she arrives from a private estate in a nearby town via limo, which drops her at the swanky Bardessono Hotel.

In pleated black pants and a silk Givenchy shirt, Roberts passes by vacationing wine aficionados in the bar who don’t notice that a major celebrity is in their vicinity. Her hair is dark and flows over her thin face; her smile is wide and the hugs flow freely from her.
