Golden Globe winner Marilyn Monroe (Some Like It Hot) once reportedly claimed that yoga (one of the six systems of orthodox Hindu philosophy) improved her legs.

Celebrities Greta Garbo, Marlon Brando, Cary Grant, Beatles, Gloria Swanson, Madonna, Mia Farrow, Shirley MacLaine, Britney Spears, John Coltrane, Yehudi Menuhin, George Harrison, Mary Tyler Moore, Donovan, Jennifer Jones, Leopold Stokowski, Sting, (the list goes on), sometime or the other reportedly had a crush on Hinduism or its concepts-symbols-terminology.

Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, welcomed entertainment celebrities to immerse in Hinduism but taking it seriously and not just using it as a fashion statement. “Hinduism is the oldest and third largest religion of the world with about one billion adherents and a rich philosophical thought and it should not be taken lightly”, Zed stressed.

Julia Roberts Says To kids away from sweets : Actress Julia Roberts has banned her three children from eating rich sugary foods at home. The Hollywood star has admitted that she allows twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 5, and son Henry, 3, to eat candy and junk food only on special occasions.

I'm a pretty strict mom when it comes to sweets. Even though I have such a sweet tooth myself,' people.com quoted her as saying. 'You want sweets, ice cream and cake to be a great treat and a celebration. Something that's not everyday. I think this makes them appreciate it when they do have it,' she added.

Julia Roberts goes where no other A-list female star has ever gone on celluloid in her new film, “Eat Pray Love,” based on the best-selling book by Elizabeth Gilbert. “Honestly, I think it’s the most controversial scene ever caught on film,” says director Ryan Murphy. “People will gasp. Jaws will drop open. It’s so shocking, I can’t even explain it.

Julia Roberts is now a Hindu having converted since filming her latest movie Eat Pray Love last year After shooting, she now often visits temples to 'chant, pray and celebrate.' Born to a Baptist and Catholic couple, she is hoping to be reincarnated as 'something quiet' after the pressures of fame. She said to Elle magazine: 'I'm definitely a practising Hindu. Golly, I've been so spoiled with my friends and family in this life. Next time I want to be just something quiet and supporting.'

The film saw her acting in India, during which she threw herself into Hindu culture and was 'astounded' during a visit to the Taj Mahal. In Eat Pray Love, which comes out in the US on August 13, Roberts' character tries to find herself through Hindu spirituality.
