 Julia Roberts has returned to work with Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani to raise money for the fight against AIDS in Africa, designing a T-shirt to be sold under the "Red" label.

The Academy Award-winning actress has drawn the symbolic tree of life with the words "revolution.evolution.devotion" arching over its foliage.

Seeing Roberts collect her best actress Oscar for Erin Brockovich in 2001 wearing a black and white vintage Valentino gown was the high point of his 45-year career, the Italian couturier said.

"I have dressed so many people but I have to be sincere. The person that made me feel so very, very happy was Julia Roberts," he replied when asked to name the famous woman he had most enjoyed dressing."When she got the Academy Award for Erin Brockovich I watched it on television and really I was so excited that she appeared in my dress."It makes me so very happy and proves once more that movie stars love my clothes."

Roberts chose the dress, originally made for the 1992 couture collections, from the Valentino archive. The black column gown with white piping was slightly on the small side but a tailor made some last-minute adjustments. The simple style was hailed as a red carpet classic and helped to popularize vintage clothing.

Samantha Ronson may be spending most of her time making headlines with a Razzie winner, but soon she's going to be spending at least one night with the possessor of a more prestigious piece of hardware.

The celebrity spinner has been tapped to get the VIP crowd primed for Oscar winner Julia Roberts and the Dave Matthews Band, who will be taking the stage Sept. 10 at Madison Square Garden as part of the Stand Up for a Cure's 2008 concert series.

The charity, which raises money for lung cancer research and treatment, confirmed Wednesday that Ronson would be deejaying the preshow party and Roberts has signed on to host the event.

Hollywood actor Alex Pettyfer has confessed that he had a fling with Julia Roberts' niece Emma Roberts while filming Wild Child. Although the two are not together anymore, Pettyfer has revealed that he is still on good terms with Emma, with whom he shared onscreen kisses.

"I don't know how to say it, she's a lovely, lovely girl, we had a spell of something that is over now, but we're on good terms," Contactmusic quoted him as saying. "She's beautiful, she's great; we're really good friends," he added.

The actor had got Roberts' name tattooed on his wrist while the two were dating. "I'm going to get asked about this, aren't I? I though it was just between me and her," the actor said when asked about the tattoo.

Giorgio Armani has been calling in favours from celeb BFF Julia Roberts again, asking her to design a special Emporio Armani (PRODUCT) RED T-shirt, after her bohemian-style leather bracelet became a best-seller last season.

And naturally, Giorgio had nothing but praise for the actress, saying, "Julia has helped to create beautiful and unique designs for both women and men which will be a visible reminder of the part that we can all play in fighting AIDS in Africa. I adore working with Julia and appreciate, once again, how she always stands by my side in important collaborations such as this."

Prices start at $125 for the women's t-shirt and $175 for the men's, with 40% of the profits going to the incredibly worthy cause.

If you guessed Woody Allen, you’re not quite right. My answer is – the film ingénue. Ah, that sweet young lass exploding out of nowhere to blow your mind away in a momentous role that captivates imaginations and hearts alike.

Film action heroes are usually male and start off franchises, headline blockbusters, then move on to comedic roles and misguided sequels until a ripe old age.

Film ingénues, on the other hand, are female and start off magazine cover appearances, headline critical successes, then move on to Oscar winning roles and leading lady appearances before fizzling out as soon as they start playing mothers in films.

Whilst action heroes stun audiences, film ingénues find themselves special places in the hearts of film critics (do I need to mention that most film critics are men?). I suppose this isn’t just because of the sexual attraction between male film critics and their film ingénues, but also to do with the fact that film ingénues come out of nowhere and remind us of what falling in love with some mysterious girl is like all over again.

18 December 2007- Julia Roberts is treating her family to a special batch of homemade festive cookies this Christmas.

The Oscar-winning actress - who has three-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and a six-month-old son Henry with her husband Danny Moder - has a special recipe, which has been passed down to her, which she uses every year to bring a smile to her loved ones.

She said: "It's a good food holiday in our house. I always bake my special cookies, with a little help from my family, and top them off with this amazing icing."

Julia, 40, has also revealed her twins are getting really excited about Christmas this year because they are old enough to understand how special it is. She added: "They're just starting to figure out what Christmas is and why it's special. They can't wait to unwrap all their presents."
