Julia Roberts is the new face of Lancome

Julia Roberts has been made the brand ambassador of the cosmetic giant Lancome and the actress is thrilled by the offer “It’s kind of like every girl’s dream, really, to be 42 and have three kids and be a working mom, it’s a great moment to be asked to do this and to be able to do it. I think it says a lot about Lancôme and what they stand for” she told WWD.
The deal with Lancome was signed in December 2009 and Julia Roberts has been reportedly paid 12.5 million pounds for endorsing the cosmetic brand. According to Radar Online the company was so desperate to have the Pretty Women star as their ambassador that they didn’t hesitate to cough up such a large sum.
After attending Golden Globe awards in Paris, Julia Roberts flew to Paris with her husband Danny Moder to shoot for the company’s ad campaign. Meanwhile the actress will be seen in the advertisement of Définicils Precious Cells Mascara.
The ad is shot by photographer Mario Testino in a Manhattan apartment. The ad will be out in March in Europe and it will break in US during the summer.
